Intimate lubrication products
Oils in general and specifically the oil of vaseline (petroleum jelly), the oil of paraffin and petrolatum, attack latex making it more fragile, easier to break, forming microscopic pores, which makes a condom ineffective for the prevention of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Most of creams contain these types of products, as they economical components use. It is, therefore, convenient to use lubricating products based on water gels that do not contain vaselines (petroleum jellies).
Oils might be used, but it is necessary to know if they are compatible with latex (gloves used in surgery, condoms) and rubber (gloves in general and other articles).
When a woman reaches menopause the vaginal mucous dehydrates and loses elasticity. Therefore the sexual act becomes generally less pleasant. To avoid this, it is totally suitable to moisten the vagina or to use lubricating products.
Vaseline (petroleum jelly) is traditionally used as a lubricant, but it is a greasy substance, difficult to remove.
The use of a moisturizing product improves the elasticity of the vaginal walls, and it is possible to apply daily or whenever there is sexual intercourse.
